Arthur Security Services Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-registered private security firm providing manned guarding, risk assessment, CCTV monitoring and related services across London and across the UK. This policy explains how we handle your personal data and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What data we collect
Data you provide directly (via our website, email, phone or chatbot): name, company name, phone number, email address; site/location and a description of your security needs; communication records and preferences; preferred dates/times for assessments.
Data collected automatically (only with consent where required): website analytics (device, browser, pages, referral) via Google Analytics; session and preference cookies; IP address for security and fraud prevention.
Data from third parties (clients only): background-screening data (BS 7858) for guards we vet; client feedback and testimonials; incident information shared by clients.

4. How we use your data
Service delivery; communication and booking confirmations; legal compliance (BS 7858 screening, incident documentation); quality assurance; and safety, fraud prevention and threat assessment. With explicit consent we may also send marketing, use analytics, and feature anonymised case studies or testimonials.
We will never sell your data, share it with unrelated businesses, use it for automated decision-making, or keep it longer than necessary.
5. Who we share your data with
Internally with our operations, management and security teams as needed. Externally only with: service providers (CRM, email such as SendGrid, calendar) bound by GDPR data-processing agreements; legal authorities where required (police, DBS, local authority); and your insurer where relevant to a claim.

7. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access, rectify, erase ("right to be forgotten"), restrict, and port your data; to object to marketing; and not to be subject to solely automated decisions. To exercise any right, email info@arthursecurity.co.uk with the relevant subject line (e.g. "Data Access Request"). We respond within 30 calendar days (extendable to 60 for complex requests). Some data is subject to legal retention exceptions (e.g. incident records).
8. How we protect your data
HTTPS encryption in transit; encryption at rest; role-based access controls; daily backups; staff GDPR training; vendor confidentiality agreements; and a breach-response process that notifies affected parties within 72 hours where required. Physical records are stored securely and destroyed by shredding.

10. International transfers
Your data is stored in the UK. If we ever need to transfer data internationally, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and ensure adequate protection.
11. Children's data
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover we have, we delete it immediately.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as laws or practices change, giving 30 days' notice of significant changes via email or a website notice.
